We always wanted to do this, from first hearing Sultans of Swing on the radio. When the world stopped in 2020 we finally had the time to learn these wonderful songs. A group of friends and die hard Dire Straits fans came together to form AlchemyLive.We are all about the music, no lookalikes here. With an almost fanatical attention to detail, we recreate specific performances as closely as possible, from Live Aid to Hammersmith Odeon, through to their epic final tour in 1992. Formed in 2022 by frontman Martin Ledger, Alchemy Live hail from Yorkshire and bring together a group of professional players and friends who share a common love of the music of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. Collectively the band have toured worldwide and have shared the stage with rock legends such as Mike Rutherford, Mick Hucknell, Roger Taylor and many more. Alchemy Live are all about the music, no lookalike competitions here. They recreate the Dire Straits sound as accurately as possible, with a painstaking attention to detail. Every guitar solo is taken from a specific show and reproduced note for note. Close your eyes and you're right there, at the Hammersmith Odeon back in 1983! As always Live Music Garthorpe looks forward to giving Alchemy live a 2nd warm welcome to our 90 seater Venue in Garthorpe which will be up close and personal concert.
